Today was the start of some very good things in the Bay and College condo world. Occupancy has just begun at 770 Bay St., more commonly known as Lumiere, for the lower floors of the building. At present, residents and agents are able to access floors 3-14, with the remaining floors still under construction.
According to the front desk staff at the building, the penthouse levels will be ready for occupancy by around March, after a delay from the original date of February. And what is pretty unique about this building is that there are 6 penthouse levels at Lumiere! Though the ceiling heights remain much the same, the layouts expand on the top six stories.
The very first suite I (ever!) had the opportunity to visit in the building is called “Golden Light”, as pictured right above. It is a well organized 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite facing north east with 870 sq.ft. of space. The finishes are wonderful with good attention to detail throughout. No sloppy workmanship here!
There is generous closet space in relation to other buildings in the area, practical-sized bedrooms, and high quality appliances. In fact, the appliances are disguised into the kitchen cabinetry with elegant wood paneling on top.
This particular suite is on one of the lower levels of the building, sheltering it from direct light, but due to the L-shape of the building, a courtyard effect is created to maximize the amount of light for the first few floors.
Although Lumiere still has a few more months to go before it truly feels like a livable residence, I’m excited to see what else the building has in store!
